Leonard Chumo Falex
Founder, Executive Director

Leonard is a developmental economist who embodies a rare mix of early childhood development expertise drawn from the private and public sector locally and internationally. He has regional experience working with civil society, private sector, government ministries and departments to steer a holistic progressive agenda for children and families. He is the immediate outgoing Chair of the Early Childhood Network for Kenya and was among the founding Global Leaders for the Africa Early Childhood Network. He is a Global Leader for and a staunch Advocate for young children, a master trainer, coach and strategic advisor on best practices in national and regional policies for investing in children. Leonard currently serves as World Forum Foundation for Young Children Global Leaders Coordinator for Africa Region. He is also a member of the Men in Early Childhood Education Working Group.

Leonard has served in various roles and capacity at local and international institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology and Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Nairobi. He is a final year master's in child development student at Daystar University and doing Doctorate research in Business Administration at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Leonard is passionate about investing in the development of next generation changemakers for children in Africa and other Low and Middle-Income Countries around the world. He believes that investing in children must be a priority for every nation, community and family.

He enjoys working on early childhood competency educational projects with his two children, Eden and Ivy when at home.
